Kedonganan Fish Market
Kedonganan Fish market, or by the local people called Pasar Ikan Kedonganan is the major fresh seafood retail market in Bali, where every day the fishermen land and bring their catches. The fishermen usually go fishing late in the evening and return after dawn to sell their fresh catches to market traders waiting on the shores. If you come to the fish market early in the morning, you will watch the fishermen unload their nets, ranging from large to small catches (sardines, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc.) to be weighed, auctioned in ice containers. You can spot and buy a variety of fresh seafood. In the south of the market and port when the ships dock, there is a row of houses of Kedonganan Village, where they open some seafood restaurants, serving fresh local ingredients. You can enjoy the seafood meals while embracing the sunset and the sea breeze.
